Metal Injection Molding (MIM)
The Future of Precision Manufacturing
At SchGo Engineered Products, we pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge and expertise in the realm of mechanical engineering. With years of experience under our belt, we have been at the forefront of adopting and mastering cutting-edge technologies. One such technology that has revolutionized the manufacturing landscape is Metal Injection Molding (MIM).
Understanding Metal Injection Molding:
Metal Injection Molding is a transformative process that combines the flexibility of plastic injection molding with the strength and integrity of metal. The process involves mixing metal powders with a polymer binder to create a feedstock. This feedstock is then injected into a mold, where it takes the desired shape. Once molded, the part undergoes a debinding process to remove the polymer, leaving behind a green part. This part is then sintered in a furnace, resulting in a dense, strong, and precision-engineered component.
